Collection includes genealogical records for the Jones Family, the Dunn Family, and the Sharp family along with photostat copies of family correspondence. Genealogical records were written by Theodore Jones, son of Theodore and Helen, and late Professor at New York Univeristy. The second box in the collection consists solely of scrolls of genealogical family tree charts. Of note in the collection are letters written during the time that Jones was the United States Vice Consul to Foochow; his wife, Helen, provides correspondence about their stay in Foochow. Collection also includes a photostat copy of The Foochow Daily Echo dated August 8, 1884 and photostat copies of correspondence pertaining to the Sino-French War of 1884. Daguerreotypes of family members are included, many of which are identified by name.
